Leading Edge Aviation Services (LEAS) Amarillo facility is right at the heart of the rebranding work IAC are involved in. The site, which is approved as an FAA Part 145 repair station has recently completed a number of aircraft for high profile airline clients. Aircraft Exterior Painting & Basic Service Checks have been completed for;
- American Airlines
- United Airlines
- Republic Airways
Leading Edge Aviation Services (LEAS) recently painted their first aircraft for XTRAirways. The aircraft, a Boeing 737 was painted in LEAS’ Amarillo, Texas facility into XTRAirways’ striking livery.
XTRAirways were formed in 1989 and have gained an enviable reputation as an airline that goes one step further for its customers.
Their motto; XTRAordinary Aircraft, XTRAordinary Service, XTRAordinary Value reflects their core values and we hope that we can add XTRAordinary paint finish to the list.
Eirtech Aviation in Ostrava (Czech Republic) recently painted an Alitalia Airbus A320 into a special livery, as part of the Alitalia rebrand programme.
Staff at the Italian national airline were asked to write a short quote or statement about what it means for them to be part of the ‘new’ Alitalia, following the takeover by Etihad Airways recently. The statements were taken and turned into paint stencils by Eirtech’s Dublin based Graphics department and shipped over to Ostrava, where the aircraft was being painted into the new livery.
The stencils were applied to the aircraft and the statements painted onto the fuselage, followed by an application of Clearcoat, to protect them. The result was a beautifully turned out aircraft showing not only the superb new livery design but also showing through the statements what it means for the staff to be part of the ‘new’ airline.
Eirtech Aviation (Shannon) were recently involved in the completion of a special livery for Aer Lingus and the IRFU (Irish Rugby Football Union). The newly painted aircraft (registration EI-DEO) was unveiled in ‘IRFU and player’ branding, following the recent announcement of Aer Lingus’ partnership deal with the IRFU. ‘Green Spirit’, an Airbus A320, was painted especially to promote the new partnership.
Green Spirit has gone into service, operating across Aer Lingus’ short haul network to the UK and continental Europe. The aircraft has been given its own hashtag #GreenSpirit. The airline wants to encourage its many customers who spot the aircraft and fly on board to spread the word and share photos.
The partnership will see Aer Lingus link up to the Irish national Team, which has risen to third in the World Rugby rankings after back-to-back RBS 6 Nations Championship wins.
Eirtech Aviation has won a second successive award in the Irish Aviation Awards, which were held recently in Dublin Ireland.
The awards are set up to recognise the achievements of Irish based companies in the Irish Aviation and Aerospace community. Eirtech won the ‘MRO Achievement Award’, which was awarded in recognition of Eirtech embracing new paint technologies such as ‘Basecoat / Clearcoat’ and using them to offer a better customer experience.
The Basecoat / Clearcoat technology allow Eirtech to apply more complex liveries in a quicker time, thus minimising customer turnaround time. In addition, the new paint helps to promote the airline customer’s brand image by giving higher levels of durability over a longer period. The award also recognised Eirtech’s role out of production processes throughout the IAC group production sites.
