Tin Tin Livery

For more than 86 years, 350 million books and translations into 80 different languages, the Belgian comic character ‘Tintin’ has not only inspired many famous people such as Steven Spielberg and Andy Warhol but many children have grown up following the adventures of this Belgian icon. Now, Brussels Airlines, the flag carrier of Belgium has dedicated a full A320 aircraft to promote Belgium as the ‘home of Tintin’. Eirtech Aviation’s Ostrava facility in Czech Republic carried out the repainting in only 10 days. Using Basecoat / Clearcoat technology to its full advantages the Eirtech Team were able to apply 20 different colours to bring Tintin and his dog, Snowy, to life. Little known fact: Tintin’s real name is Martin. Tintin is a common nickname for the Martins of French-speaking countries. And it has to be Tintin, pronounced Tantan.
